Counselling is a chance to talk about things that are important to you - such as relationships, thoughts or feelings - that can sometimes get in the way of living the life that you want.
Therapy can be short or long term and can be used for issues such as struggling with daily life, trauma, change, loss and bereavement or specific mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, OCD, etc. Psychotherapy underpinned by evidence-based psychological models e.g. a cognitive behavioural therapist helps you to help yourself by understanding the links between your own thinking, feeling and behaviour and how these can be utilised to facilitate the changes that you want to make.
Coaching Psychology can be used to help clients enhance well-being and performance in either their personal or academic life and can help with issues such as motivation, procrastination and perfectionism etc. It is usually underpinned by models of coaching grounded in established adult and / or child learning or psychological theories and approaches.
Counselling, therapy or coaching are provided by a trained and experienced professional who provides a confidential relationship that can help promote your well-being and bring about effective change in your life and your relationships.
Research suggests that above the theories, tools and techniques of counselling, therapy or coaching, it is the relationship between you and your therapist/coach that makes the most difference to the best outcomes.
Thus it is important that you find someone that you feel is the right fit for you. We offer a no cost initial call for individuals, without commitment or obligation.
